Bio: Joel Goldes created and coached the “future” accent for Columbia’s After Earth, starring Will and Jaden Smith. He prepped Shia LaBeouf for Lars vonTrier’s The Nymphomaniac and Kevin Costner for Hatfields & McCoys, for which Costner received an Emmy Award nomination. Other films and TV shows Joel has coached include Lucky Stiff, Mission Impossible 4, Awake, Rob, The Company Men, 24, Memphis Beat, CSI: New York, Criminal Minds, NCIS: Los Angeles, Without a Trace, The Wronged Man, Che, The Hangover, CSI, Numb3rs, Sleeper Cell, Nine Lives, Lackawanna Blues, Lost, Dora the Explorer and more. Joel has coached actors Julia Ormond, Anil Kapoor, Jessica Chastain, Jim Broadbent, Viola Davis, Ryan Phillippe, Sophie Okonedo, Dennis Farina, Samantha Morton, Jason Lee, Alfre Woodard, Cheryl Hines, Jason Isaacs, Wilmer Valderrrama, LL Cool J, Nicolas Cage, Ken Jeong, Roger Daltrey and many others. He has coached at the Mark Taper Forum, Ahmanson Theater, Kirk Douglas Theater, Geffen Playhouse, Pasadena Playhouse, Furious Theater Co., Black Dahlia, Rubicon Theater, Old Globe, Las Jolla Playhouse, PCPA TheaterFest and many others.
