It’s ‘Love IDEA Month’

We’ve officially designated February as “Love IDEA Month”!

As we embrace all things Cupid, why not show your affection for the International Dialects of English Archive? It’s simple: If you love the International Dialects of English Archive (or even if you have just a small crush), please share any page or recent post from the website.

By sharing an IDEA page or recent post on Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, or any other social-media platform, you exponentially boost the internet presence of IDEA. This exposes more people to the archive, which in turn increases the chances of new users supporting the site and potentially contributing a voice sample. And perhaps that voice sample will be from a previously unrepresented region, age group, ethnicity, or culture.

So, we suggest you find an IDEA page or post that you like and share the URL on social media. It could be a page devoted to an entire geographic collection of accents and dialects, such as United States or Europe, or it could be a page devoted to a single subject. It could even be this post!
