So I am a woman. I am 26 years old. Currently I’m in a maternity leave; my son is almost two years old. [baby noises in background] Mmm, before the maternity leave, I was a flight attendant for the past, maybe, eight or seven years, and a purser, a cabin chief. As for my education, hmm, I studied in university. My course was midwifery. But I didn’t get a chance to finish it, to graduate. So I studied only for two years, but it was a great experience.

[Subject speaks Russian]: Я девушка, мне 26 лет. Сейчас я нахожусь в отпуске по уходу за ребёнком. Моему сыну почти 2 года. До этого я работала бортпроводником, где-то 8 или 7 лет. И последние несколько лет я была старшим бортпроводником. Училась я в университете на акушерку. Но я не выпустилась, отучилась только 2 года.

[Transliteration: Devushka, mn’e dvadzat’ shest’ l’et. Seichas ya nahozhus’ v otpuske po uhodu za rebyonkom. Moemu synu pochti dva goda. Do etogo ya rabotala bortprovodnikom, gde-to vosem’ ili sem’ l’et. Ih poslednie neskol’ko l’et ya byla starshim bortprovodnikom. Uchilas’ ya v universitete na akusherku. English translation: I’m a woman. I’m 26. I’m on a maternity leave now. My son’s almost two. I worked as a flight attendant before that, about eight or seven years. And the last couple of years I was a senior flight attendant. I studied midwifery at university. But I never graduated; I finished only two years.]
