Bio: Yves TALLA SANDO OUAFEU studied at the University of Yaounde I, at the Advanced School of Education of the University of Yaounde I in Cameroon and at the University of Freiburg in Breisgau in Germany. At the University of Yaounde I and at the Advanced School of Education in Cameroon, he earned the following qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in English and French linguistics and literature, a Master’s degree (M.A.) in English linguistics, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (DIPES II) in English and French linguistics and literature and a pre-doctorate certificate (DEA) in English linguistics. In 2006, he received a PhD in linguistics (English philology) from the University of Freiburg in Breisgau in Germany. He has been working as an English teacher for the Montreal School Board in Quebec, Canada since 2007. He has published a lot articles in scientific journals and is currently and actively involved in research on Canadian English as well as other varieties of English, including New Englishes. He is member of the International Association of World Englishes (IAWE), of the Atlantic Provinces Linguistic Association (APLA) and of the Canadian Linguistic Association (CLA).
