Scotland gets a new subject
Thanks to a self-submission, IDEA now has a new Scottish subject. The 32-year-old man spent most of his formative years in Oban, in the West Highlands (northwest of Glasgow), a region previously unrepresented on IDEA. His dialect is quite light, with English influences, so it will be useful for those studying that type of sound. Go here to listen. And go here to learn how you can submit your own voice to IDEA.
In other news, don’t forget that the annual Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA) conference is scheduled for October 2-5 in New Orleans. Go here to learn more.
