New Zealand collection expands

David Nevell

Thanks to IDEA Senior Editor David Nevell, our collection of New Zealand dialects has just grown by about 50 percent. David’s new submissions, most of which he collected on a recent trip to the country, can be found on the New Zealand page. The new contributions are New Zealand 20-28.

Many of these new subjects are Māori and/or Pākehā ethnicities, and some speak Māori. In addition, several come from places not previously represented on IDEA. (See our Global Map.)

David is our most prolific senior editor. He and his students have contributed more than 200 IDEA samples from around the globe over the years. Thank you, David!
