Please welcome our first new subjects of 2026: Spain 10 and Spain 11. They are a husband and wife, in their late 50s, who spent all of their formative years and about half of their adulthoods in eastern Spain. The man grew up in Barcelona while the woman was raised in Alicante.
In their unscripted speech, they speak both English and Spanish, making their contributions useful to people studying Spanish accents of English and native Spanish dialects of Spain. In addition, the man speaks an extended passage in his native tongue, Galician.
