Bio: Kris Danford is a professional actor and singer and is currently Associate Professor of Voice and Speech at Penn State University. Her performance credits include Hermione (The Winter’s Tale), Kathy (The Last Five Years), Eve (Searching for Eden), and Beline (The Imaginary Invalid) at Asolo Rep; Bess (The Fair Maid of the West) and Laura (Line of Descent, world premiere) at Riverside Theatre; and Emily (Go. Please. Go.) at Ashland New Plays Festival.

She also works professionally as a voice, text, and dialect coach. Recent credits include voice and text coach for Oklahoma at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, for Good People at American Stage, and for Incognito at Urbanite Theatre.

As an educator, Kris has held appointments at the University of Michigan, Southern Oregon University, University of Iowa, and the University of West Florida.

Kris received her BFA in Musical Theatre from SUNY Fredonia and her MFA in Acting from the FSU Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training. She is also a certified associate teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®. She holds memberships in Actors’ Equity Association and the Voice and Speech Trainers Association.
